AA Thought for the Day

My Problem

I attended the AA meeting and decided drugs were my problem.
I stopped using them completely from that night forward.
The result was a sharp increase in my drinking.
I knew this would never do.
Staggering home one night, it occurred to me
that perhaps if I stopped drinking, just for a while,
maybe I could get a handle on things and then I could drink again.
It took about three months for me to realize that I was my problem
and drinking made my problems much worse.
