We should know our AA history and principles
through diligent study and familiarization with all our material,
especially the Traditions.
Through them, "each member becomes an active guardian of our Fellowship."
And "Moved by the spirit of anonymity,
we try to give up our natural desires for personal distinction
as AA members."
With the public particularly, we practice the humble recognition
that the only thing of real value is our message.
Walk softly and carry a Big Book.
