As we go through the day we pause,
when agitated or doubtful,
and ask for the right thought or action.
We constantly remind ourselves
that we are no longer running the show,
humbly saying to ourselves many times each day
"Thy will be done." . . .
It works -- it really does.
Standing still is for statues.
A A = Accountable Actions.
Jane, here, an alcoholic.
For those of you who are new or still can't "get it," I understand all too well. I have been drunk, dry, and now sober. Dry was worse than drunk, for me. I was more than restless, irritable, and discontent ... that's mild -- "witch" was more like it. Untreated alcoholism is a horrible nightmare. This is a spiritual program of action. I would not be doing anyone any favors by not saying that up front. Once I began to work the Steps with a sponsor, I started getting better rather quickly, and now I am too afraid of not practicing these principles in all my affairs. Everything I have been doing for over six years, I still do daily because, I'm not sure which one could lead me to drink again. So I try my best at all of them, and I stay sober. This, to me, is the easier softer way. I pray that you may learn from my experience and not have to suffer as I did. Thank you .. I love you all!
