AA Thought for the Day

Humility

In AA, I learned that when the stimulus
is humiliation or pain,
a healing response is honesty and humility.
According to Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions,
pain is a touchstone of spiritual progress,
but it also offers another option.
It offers the character asset of humility as a choice
and means of growth.
Pain does not have to be the only way to grow
in recovery.

Thought to Ponder....

Many people haven't even a nodding acquaintance
with humility as a way of life.
