How powerless something bothering me really was,
I realized, was more important than
how powerless I was over it.
The need to control, or be helpless,
was fading away.
I might not have a lot of control over things
in my life, but many of those things
shouldn't have control over me, either.
Life wasn't out to get me,
any more than it was there to serve me.
It just was.
We can't control the ocean,
but we can learn to ride the waves.
S W A T = Surrender, Willingness, Acceptance, Trust.
