From the beginning, communication in AA
has been no ordinary transmission of helpful ideas
and attitudes.
Because of our kinship in suffering,
and because our common means of deliverance
are effective only when constantly carried to others,
our channels of contact have always been charged
with the language of the heart.

I have learned how a heart full of gratitude feels.
H E A R T = Healing, Enjoying, And Recovering, Together.
My name is Anna, an alcoholic.
I never thought when I came into AA that I would ever amount to anything, let alone give back what I was learning. But, with a wonderful sponsor and the people in this room, I have learned how to share my heart. My heart was closed when I came here. It was hard. But I have never felt more welcome than I did when into coming to AA. Regardless of my faults, my anger, my pain, you were here for me. So, I try to do the same today ... working with newcomers, sharing my strength, and my hope. When I am down, when I am overwhelmed, I can find help anywhere in the world! What a concept, and you all understand. I listen, I let people help me, and by you all helping me, I learn so that I can pass it on to another. I am very grateful that everyone is here and is willing to pass it on. By passing it on, I grow and I stay sober. Thank you for letting me share. Everyonehave a blessed day. I love you all!
