AA Thought for the Day

November 2, 2004

Football

To use a football analogy,
alcohol tries trick plays and end runs.
The trick plays are designed to make me dislike AA,
because alcohol -- baffling and patient --
knows that if I dislike AA long enough,
I will quit going.
If I quit going, I will eventually drink.
And to drink is to risk death.
