I love the Big Book. I often find the words,
"You will be amazed before you are halfway through"
coming to mind at the strangest times.
I will encounter a difficult person
and choose to smile rather than strike back.
I will be stuck in traffic
and be able to accept a situation I cannot control.
I now realize that in every pile of "manure,"
there lays the possibility of a rose.
While the situation at hand may not be to our liking,
the outcome may far exceed our expectations.
