Taking advantage of technological advances,
AA members with computers
can participate in meetings online,
sharing with fellow alcoholics across the country
or around the world.
In any meeting, anywhere, AA’s share experience,
strength, and hope with each other,
in order to stay sober and help other alcoholics.
Modem-to-modem or face-to-face,
AA’s speak the language of the heart
in all its power and simplicity.
Nothing matters more to AA's future welfare
than the manner in which we use the colossus
of modern communication.

Hi everyone, I'm Derryl, an alcoholic.
By God's grace, I am alive today. I tried not to be, after a few years in the program, because my life was falling apart in spite of my sobriety. It's a tough lesson to learn, that sobriety does not equal an absence of problems. Sobriety gives us tools to handle the problems. By His grace, I woke up, and then really gave myself to Him. I figured He wanted me here, maybe to help others. So I worked real hard to get better emotionally. I take medication daily to stay well, but for a few years, I wondered what I could do ... with my bad back, etc., ... to help others. Then last spring, By God's grace, I found this website. And I finally found my niche ... a place where I felt at home amongst others with the same disease as I. I love being here, laughing, crying, sharing, and listening. By God's grace, people have said I have helped them. I know it is not I, but He working thru me. I know when I type, whether the words come from Him or from me. I love the AA family, the love and support here, and we are never alone in this room. He is here with us. May He continue to bless us, one and all.
