AA Thought for the Day

December 6, 2003

Alone

I felt as if I were alone --
always had been and always would be.
Today is different. I am different.
My life is rich and full because of this program,
and because I've been listening to folks
who have what I want.
Today I share my fears and secrets with others.
Gradually, I have come to believe
to the very core of my being that a God exists
and that that God loves me.
I am never alone, and I am never without comfort,
support or hope.
I also know that whatever this Higher Power is,
it loves all of us.
