A New Meaning

Life will take on a new meaning.
To watch people recover,
to see them help others,
to watch loneliness vanish,
to see a fellowship grow up about you,
to have a host of friends --
this is an experience you must not miss.
We know you will not want to miss it.

My name is Alan, and I'm an alcoholic.

When I came into the AA way of life, I hated you, me, and God. When I was in the hospital, they told me I was hostile and uncooperative. Imagine that! Today, after twenty-two years in AA, I have a wonderful God in my life, and my hatred for everything is gone. I love my fellow man. I once asked a woman at work why, after working together for fifteen years, she started to talk to me. She said, "Since you stopped drinking you're a pretty nice guy!" No one had ever said that before. May you always walk with God. Thank you, AA.
