New World
We no longer live in a completely hostile world.
We are no longer lost and frightened and purposeless.
The moment we catch even a glimpse of God's will,
the moment we begin to see truth, justice and love
as the real and eternal things in life,
we are no longer deeply disturbed
by all the seeming evidence to the contrary
that surrounds us in purely human affairs.
We know that God lovingly watches over us.

I am an alcoholic and my name is Grace.
When I came to the program of AA and
I saw the word God, I thought it was time to leave. Although God's strength
has carried me all my life, for many years I was not a good steward of that
unconditional love and strength. I got sober and clean and found out the
pure simplicity of my God. All He asks is that we reach out. I love having
God's strength in my life, after thinking all these years that the bottle was
my God. How sad, but now how awesome to know that God is with me at all
times. Today I try one day at a time to be God-reliant and not self-reliant.
For anyone who has yet to find their Higher Power, you can borrow mine. He
is huge, and wouldn't mind. My God loves each of you, and so do I.
