The achievement of freedom from fear
is a lifetime undertaking,
one that can never be wholly completed.
When under heavy attack, acute illness,
or in other conditions of serious insecurity,
we shall all react to this emotion --
well or badly, as the case may be.
Only the self-deceived will claim perfect freedom from fear.

Courage is the willingness to accept fear and act anyway.
F E A R = Face Everything And Recover.
Hi! I'm Peggy, and I'm an alcoholic.
I recently lost my husband in a
motorcycle accident. My husband introduced to me AA in 1991. He had 19
years of sobriety. I can relate to letting go and to pain. Mostly, it has
been fear for me. The fear of the unknown of where my life is going. I know
that without AA, my life would be going down a different path. My AA family
has stood by me and carried me when I could not walk. I have been letting go
of some of the personalities that have been coming at me from all directions.
I truly believe that God can help, and will, if I let him. Thank you for
letting me share.
- Peggy
