The meetings gave me what my sponsor likes to call
one of the most important words in the Big Book:
AA put a "we" in my life.
"We admitted we were powerless over alcohol. . ."
I no longer had to be alone.
Fellowship and activity
kept me coming back long enough
to work the Twelve Steps.
The more I did, the better I felt.
I started hanging out with my sponsor
and some active people at the meetings.
They showed me how gratitude
is something that is demonstrated, not talked about--
gratitude is action.
