Laughter

We have been speaking to you of serious,
sometimes tragic things.
We have been dealing with alcohol in its worst aspect.
But we aren't a glum lot.
If newcomers could see no joy or fun in our existence,
they wouldn't want it.
We absolutely insist on enjoying life.

Thought to Ponder....

Always laugh when you can.
It is cheap medicine.

Hello! My name is Kim, and I am an alcoholic.

When I joined this Fellowship, I thought my life was over. I thought I would never laugh again, or ever have any more fun. I am two years sober, and my life has only just begun. Being 27 years old and when all my friends were going out to bars, I just knew I would never, ever, enjoy life again. Slowly, I got involved in the Fellowship and started having a little fun. Today, I have a life beyond my wildest dreams. I had no idea what living was all about until I got sober and joined the Fellowship. You can't just show up, you have to be a part of. I laugh more than I ever have in my life. My life is so wonderful today. I owe it all to the Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous and not drinking one day at a time. I thank my Higher Power every day for giving me the gift of sobriety. If it wasn't for this program who knows where I would be!
Sincerely, Kim G
